This is highly unusual for us. But, she got up around 4:00 a.m. and started to go out the bedroom door. I told her it was still night time and she asked if she could get in our bed, so I let her. It was a little crowded, but I did enjoy snuggling with her although she was twirling her hair in my face. I guess I should enjoy that while she still has hair. I am thinking about cutting it myself because that is what she wants to do. But, I may take her to someone who does it for a living. That just seems to make more sense to me.
We are still struggling with the grape flavored, pink colored antibiotic. "I don't want it. I don't want it. I don't want the medicine. I don't want the medicine. I don't want the medicine." Me, "You don't?" Loud sobs. Repeat cycle. Hmmmm.
We also have to put some numbing cream on her port area today before we go in for a chemo shot. Oh yeah, and a bandage. Crap.
This should be fun. What a way to start the day! Whiny 2 year old who doesn't want to do anything we have to do.
Oh what a beautiful morning!

Thinking of you all today!!!!
Easton crawled into our bed at 4:00 am also, so much for our success the night before. Good Luck today! You all are in our prayers!
Can we have your address, Easton wants to send Summer a card. I think you can reply to my email if not let me know, I know you probably don't want to post your address to the whole world.
I hope it goes well today, good luck!
You are in my prayers this weekend.
I hope everything went well today at clinic. Take care!

Hey Jennifer!
This is Teresa (your cousin Jamey's wife...your dad's cousin Freda's son Jamey)...I sat with you at the family reunion, remember? The redhead...anyway, I just wanted to let you know that I am praying for you guys and especially dear little Summer.
My best friend just had double mascectomy last year and now her hubby is battling for his life right now with cancer...he often blogs that he feels its so much worse though to hear that a child has cancer. I'm praying for a miracle for little Summer and that you find the absolute best treatment options for her. My friend's hubby is going to Houston as drs around here pretty much ran out of options...my friends have found out on their own after drs here gave up hope that there are so many places in our country that are more knowledgable and will help.
I am so sorry that even the day to day routine is so hard. I will pray it will get easier for you.
Can you mix her antibiotic w/juice or anything? Just wondering.
I had posted for prayer for little Summer on my facebook page and many have been asking for updates. Is it okay if I give out the blog webpage, or do you prefer this stay private, more for relatives and friends? I gave it to my mother, so if you hear from Liz, that's my mother.
Thinking of you often and praying for you!
Sending lots of love, your cousin-in-law :o)

I somehow commented w/o the right ID...I had added a pic that included Jamey so you'd know who we were...I couldnt find an option to PM you, so if you ever want to contact me, your dad should have the info. Ever since I heard the news, I pray for you guys all the time...on my mind constantly...may you have a wonderful day together!
Teresa
I hope that me trying to show you a pic of your cousin Jamey is giving you at least a giggle! Here's my 3rd and hopefully last attempt! I think it's all set up correctly now!
Poor baby and Mommy. Praying for you guys. You will get through this. I wish I could cut her hair for you (I'm a hairstylist in ca). Maybe you can make it fun... let her choose a cute short cut to 'try' out before it starts falling out. Hang in there. Lots of prayers your way!
Teresa, it is fine for you to share the blog.
I appreciate all of your thoughts and prayers today! The hard part is over, for me at least. My mom has to give Summer her meds tonight! :o
I hope it went well yesterday, Jennifer.
I don't think it's so unusual she's wanting in your bed. I suspect she's feeling very insecure and maybe a little scared at this point. Life has thrown her a huge curveball and she's not steady on her feet yet. Just cuddle and love on her as much as possible...which I know you already do.
XOXO
