Yesterday Summer did not get up until 11:00!!! And, that was only after I went into my room three times to check on her. I still had to literally get into the bed with her to wake her up. :) She looked so precious sleeping, but I was ready to spend some time with her and get her ready for the day. I guess it is gonna take a few days to get her sleeping schedule back, although the late sleeping doesn't bother me too much. :) Gives me time to get some things done for myself.
Like planning vacations. I am going to try to book our beach house today. I can't wait although I could possibly be out of town when my best friend has her baby. Does that make me a bad friend? I might fly home though at least for the birth since it will be scheduled and all. These days you don't have to wait for the baby to come, you just take it whenever is convenient for you. Oh how times have changed....sometimes I wonder I would've made out living in the "old" days. But, I'll never know.
I got the Smurfs on DVD from Netflix the other day. I am hoping Summer will like it although at this moment I am not really sure it is appropriate for her to watch. Hmmm. I guess I'll have to lose the conscience and just go with it because I want to watch it! :)
I worry sometimes that she is growing up too fast, but I am trying to do my best to shape her into a wonderful person. I can't protect her from the world. I can only provide her with the kind of environment that I hope will cause her to be a kind and loving person (although I am not always kind and loving). And happy!!!! I really don't want her to grow up and be a miserable person because that would suck. Man I hope I am doing this right.....

I am with you on hoping that I'm doing this right. By no means am I a perfect mother, but I try to do right by my kiddos... and in all, I think we are doing okay! Enjoy your weekend!!
As a parent, we do the best we can for our kids and hpe that's enough.
If you're happy, they'll be happy too. I really believe that and try to remain optimistic no matter what. Kids can sense tension in their parents.
My kids have the Smurfs DVD. :) Santa brought it for Christmas.
XOXO
All we can do is try our best. IMO you are doing a wonderful job!
